Field Operations Management

BNSF's Field Operations Management program is a comprehensive leadership initiative targeted toward individuals who have at least three years of management experience outside of the railroad industry.

This program offers comprehensive training that consists of the following three elements:
  1. A corporate overview of all departments
  2. Technical and personnel training
  3. On-the-job training

Listed below are some of the basic qualifications of our Field Operations Management positions.

Basic qualifications include:
  • Three (3) or more years experience supervising 5 or more employees
  • Willing and able to relocate within the BNSF Railway operating
  • Work a minimum of 50 hours per week
  • Work varied shifts, holidays, nights and weekends
  • Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
